You roll 2 dice. What is the probability that the sum of the dice is greater than 8 and that 1 die shows a 6? Please help me!

OpenStudy (debbieg):

Sample space has 6x6=36 possible outcomes. of those, to have the sum greater than 8 with 1 die showing a 6 has the following possible outcomes: (6,3) (6,4) (6,5) (6,6) (3,6) (4,6) (5,6) So 7 possible outcomes. So the probability is: \[\frac{ 7 }{36 }\]
