conveying  means = Make (an idea, impression, or feeling) known or understandable to someone.

Basically it comes from "to carry," but it has more uses than that.  A conveyance was another name for a car or other vehicle.  But if what you carry is your emotion or understanding to someone, this is to convey a feeling or thought.
