OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the coordinates of the other endpoint when you are given the midpoint (point M) and one of the endpoints (point P). P = (3, 5) and M =(-2, 0)

OpenStudy (phi):

If you are at point P (3,5) and move to point M (-2,0) how far did you move in the x direction ? in other words if you are at x=3 how far do you move to get to -2 ?

OpenStudy (phi):

to get from x=3 to x= -2 you move -5 steps (5 steps to the left) the other end point will be an equal number of steps from M: go another -5 steps from M to get the x of the other end point. Now do the same thing for the y value.
