4^3 x 4^1 x 4^5 You made 2 mistakes: 1. When you multiply exponential terms with the same base (here your base is 4), your answer will have the same base....4 2. You were correct in adding the exponents, but you forgot that the middle term...4...really has an exponent of 1 even though it is not written.
