but you are on the right track, now you can combine
what do you get ?
-x^2 + 6x?
now is correct
when you are taking out of parenthesis is like multiplying by the negative, you had - (x^2 +8x), so you need to change the signs, the positive x^2 becomes -x^2 and the positive 8x becomes -8x
