can't solve this... S(x)=4/5x-2 X= -3, 0, and 2 S=... I don't get it and how am i supposed to use all of the X's and What I do after I simplify all of the equations.

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

The problem is probably asking you to evaluate the function s three times. once when x = -1... once when x = 0, and once when x = 2. \[s(-3) = \frac{4}{5}\cdot(-3) -2\] Can you simplify the right hand side of that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got -4.4 for the answer to the right side... for -3, so do I do the same thing with all of the other X's... but what do I do with them after I get all of them simplified?

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

I'm not sure what the problem is asking for. What do the directions say?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Evaluate the function When X= -3,0, and 2.

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Then they want something like s(-3) = (a number) , s(0) = (a number) , etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooohhh, i get it now... thanks :)
