PLSE CHECK IF I HAVE DONE OR WRONG

OpenStudy (psymon):

A coin is tossed 5 times but you get 6 heads? Not sure how on that one :P

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

\[\Large {P(n)=\left\{\matrix {C(N,n)\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)^n\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)^{N-n} & n=0,1,2,\dots,N\\0 & \text{otherwise} }\right.}\]

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

with \[N=5,n=6\] \[P(6)=0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it means i have done wrong

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

yes. the probability density function should be stated as P(x) = formula for possible cases of x, and P(x) = 0 otherwise.

whats answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plse guide me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sirm3d

OpenStudy (psymon):

The answer is 0. There is no way to get 6 heads in 5 tosses. That's what everyone was trying to hint at.

OpenStudy (mandre):

The way the question is set up I would say there is a mistake. Maybe N=50?

OpenStudy (mandre):

Or maybe 5 heads out of 6 tosses.
