On a store counter, there was a supply of three sizes of Christmas cards. The large cards cost $1 each; medium cards cost 80 cents each; and the small cards cost 60 cents each. A woman purchased ten cards, which consisted of one-fourth of the available large cards, one-third of the available medium cards, and one-half of the available small cards. The total cost of her cards was $8.20. If there were 21 cards remaining on the counter after her purchase, how many of each kind of card did she buy ? Even only giving the equations with a bit of explanation can really help :)

On this website is a very similar problem. Look at number 2 and try to use it as a guide. http://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/Rate-of-work-word-problems/Rate-of-work-word-problems.faq.question.526825.html
