Help !! How can you tell if a function is Sinusoidal by looking at the table of values??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you can look at the table of values or its graph..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you know though by looking at the table of values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if y-values repeats itself in a cyclical path..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if they repeat it is a sinusoidal function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Data_LG2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

YW(^_^)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if it has a periodic range ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

x^2 has: y=4 for x=-2 and x=2 .. but it is not sinusodial

OpenStudy (amistre64):

"in a cyclical path" ... nice addedum :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 lol, I'm not sure if that's the right term for that:)
