If a graph of a set has an open circle on 1/2 and an arrow pointing to the right, then which of the following numbers is in the set? 3/8 1/2 5/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you imagine the number line, this is all the numbers the the right of 1/2, not including 1/2 itself (since it is an open circle). So you are looking for a number which is > 1/2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Arrow pointing to the right means that values larger than 1/2 are wanted, so which one of these is larger than 1/2.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

open circle means it is not equal, and shading to the right means it is greater then. So what is a number bigger then 1/2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 5/6

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh and medal to first come ....sowy other peeps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An open circle means that the value is NOT included in the set. Arrow pointing to the right means that values larger than 1/2 are wanted, so which one of these is larger than 1/2
