How do you solve 7q+q-3q=-24

Haven't you already asked this question?

Does it matter? I just need help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, alright. I was just asking. For this problem, you would combine the like terms, which are all of the terms with a q. That would give you 5q. You would divide the -24 by the 5q in order to isolate the q and would end up with q=-24/5.

Thank you.
