Choose the correct phrase to describe the solution set for 525 ≤ (x – 123)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

648 is greater than or equal to x 648 is less than or equal to x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

525 \[525\le(x-123)\] So that means add 123 on both sides, you get 648. Remember, if you were dividing or multiplying by a negative, then your sign would change to greater than or equal to, but since your not it stays the same. (If only changes with multiplication and division) So now you have 648 is less than or equal to x. It would only be greater if their was multiplication or division.
