OpenStudy (accidentalaichan):

The domain of the following relation: R: {(3, −2), (1, 2), (−1, −4), (−1, 2)} is {−1, 1, 3} {−1, −1, 1, 3} {−4, −2, 2, 2} {−4, −2, 2} Could someone explain how they got the answer as well? I'm new to this subject and don't get what a domain is.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The domain is the set of all allowed inputs or x values.

OpenStudy (accidentalaichan):

So, it would be {-1, 1, 3}?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you nailed it

OpenStudy (accidentalaichan):

Thanks!
