suppose that the function y=f(x) is increasing on the interval from (-1,5). Over what interval is the graph of y=f(x+2) increasing?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You are expected to know your horizontal translations. f(x+2) is 2 left of f(x). It's a little counter-intuitive unless you write it in standard form. f(x-(-2)) is 2 left of f(x)
