What are some current trends in society?

OpenStudy (opcode):

When I drive around people are sure blasting music from their car, which is a bit annoying... I mean come on I don't want to go deaf.

Where do I begin? - The loss of meaning in language (the word "literal" or "literally" now doesn't retain is original meaning)... one example. - The reliance on social media and text messages to communicate rather than frank face-to-face discussions, which in turn misconstrues ideas and concepts. - The huge spike or rise in bullying due to Hollywood produced cinema/movies, advertising and marketing in magazines etc which creates the idea that everyone is a hero (very general I know),beautiful/attractive people are the status quo, which results in a rise of personal insecurities which lead above-mentioned bullying. - The emergence of true laziness as computers and robotics take over and complete tasks that were otherwise reserved for earlier generations. - The fact now that apps and programs perform critical spatial reasoning and cognitive functions for us which means that we no longer as a society have to think through problems for ourselves. - Lack of exercise due to the higher demands on society in relation time management which is creating a species of.... (fat *%$@'s) - Rise in production and consumption of GM and processed foods which are responsible for the spike in diseases and conditions such as Aspergers, Autism and various other undesirables. - Advancements in medical research which lead to higher conception and lower mortality rates, which then challenge the concept of 'survival of the fittest', which then undermines the principles of evolution (returning less than desirable genes back to the pool)... I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound heartless, and I'm not... I'm just stating the facts.. Hope this helps!!
