A President has the power to cancel some parts of a new law. What makes this possible? A. an amendment to the Constitution B. when Congress cannot agree C. not signing a bill within ten days D. when Congress overrides a veto
The US President has the power to veto a law. Veto means reject. But if the president disagrees with a law and the congress agrees, the law can't continue to become a bill. A President can't sign a law if congress overrides the veto by 2/3 majority in each house which means the law becomes a bill without the president signing it.
