What is -x = 30? Just help no answers please

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

-x is the same as -1*x

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so -x = 30 is really saying -1*x = 30

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

how would you move that -1 over?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that was it @dubblebarrel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide both sides by -1. That will make the coefficient of x (+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x= -1, Graphically, it is a vertical line passing thru the x-axis at -1|dw:1377139234670:dw|
