When a magnet is put near a current carrying wire, the wire will deflect. So is some of the magnetic and electrical energy turning into mechanical energy to move the wire???

you are right--- just think of the  Law of conservation of Energy and the interconversion

alright thanks, makes sense now i was wondering where the energy must have came from to move the wire.
