For this assignment, you will write a 500 word political commercial to be used for a fictional presidential candidate running for office.Your commercial should be written as a monologue that a candidate could read in front of a camera in order to persuade viewers to vote for them.Be sure to include: 2 examples of a non-sequitur 2 examples of circular logic 2 examples of hasty generalization 2 examples of a red herring Be sure to identify your logical fallacies. You can do this by placing a notation in parentheses after each fallacy, for example (red herring).
Why don't you try to do that, post your attempt, and then folks will help you. The goal is to create one of those political infomercial where a fake candidate is trying to convince you to vote for them.
Hmm... and I think watching some real political commercials might help. Also, http://www.factcheck.org/ can give you real life examples of how these are used in politics. That will give you something to base your on. Just don't quote the politician exactly. If you are unsure what any of non-sequitur, circular logic, hasty generalization, or red herring mean, we can also help with that.
