Hmm... and I think watching some real political commercials might help. Also, http://www.factcheck.org/ can give you real life examples of how these are used in politics. That will give you something to base your on. Just don't quote the politician exactly. If you are unsure what any of non-sequitur, circular logic, hasty generalization, or red herring mean, we can also help with that.
