Suppose a man’s scalp hair grows at a rate of 0.35 mm per day. What is this growth rate in feet per century?

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Do the conversions one at a time. .35mm/ day .035cm/day (Since 2.54 cm = 1 inch then) .035 / 2.54 = 0.0137795276 inches per day (since 12 inches = 1 foot then) 0.0137795276 inches per day / 12 =0.001148294 feet per day Now to change days to centureis 365.25 days year and 100 years per century So we would multiply the feet per day by 36,525. 0.001148294 feet per day * 36,525 = 41.9414370079 feet per century or about 42 feet per century (I'll have to recheck this and you should too)
