How might the failure of 2 chromatids separating affect the chromosome number of two cells?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

During meiosis

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

called nondisjunction....... one of the cells will have an extra chromosome. Since its in the germ cells, which is the cell passed on to the offsprings. It might have alleles that looks like XXX or XXY, which study have shown that people with those chromosomes have lower IQ~90.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. That is Non-disjunction. Failure of chromosome pairs to separate properly during meiosis stage 1 or stage 2, specifically in the anaphase.

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

if you agreed, why you no give me medal?
