decimal of 3/11. Thank you but perhaps I phrased the question wrong. The answer I am looking for is how to write the decimal form of a fraction that is 3 over 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to get 3/11 into a decimal just divide 3 into 11

OpenStudy (uri):

0.27

OpenStudy (debbieg):

\(\dfrac{ 3 }{ 11 } \) is just \(3\div11 \), so you'll need to set up the long division and have at it. You will get a repeating decimal.

Thankyou Debbie G. I just worked it with long division. It was 0.2727.... then I had to convert to a percentage.

OpenStudy (debbieg):

You're welcome, and that's the way to do it! :)
