J is the midpoint of segment KL. The coordinates of K are (-8, 7) and the coordinates of L are (3, 4), find the coordinates of J (leave in fraction form).
Not looking for an easy answer, but I really don't know how to do this. Is there a formula or an equation for this?
yes use the midpoint formula ((-8+3)/2, (7+4)/2)
you need to add K and L, then divide them by 2 |dw:1377315744685:dw| @lilshadow already provided the solution you just need to solve it
:/ I followed the equation and got 1.5, the options on my practise pack are -2, -1, 3, -3. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I got -2.5 for K and 5.5 for L,
that's the only choices? but it's says on your question the "coordinates" of J? I got the same thing as yours..
Oh no! so sorry i was looking at the wrong problem. Oh gosh. the options for this one are (5,3) (5/2, 2/3), (2/5, 3/2) and -5/2, 11/2) Sorry! haha
