How many medians are needed to find the centroid? Why?

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

Since two non-parallel lines intersect at a single point, only two medians are needed. The intersection for medians happen to be the centroid for these two special lines, which are always non-parallel. The third median is redundant because it will always intersect at the same point created by the intersection of the other two lines.
