Hey the intelligent ones!!!!!!find the measure of the angle A on the following geometric figure,!!!!!please help me understand this and show work for me

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so, where's "the following geometric figure" ?

in a bit

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm I see a polygon with 7 sides, thus a heptagon sum of interior angles are \(\bf (n-2) \times 180^o n = number of sides in the polygon so 7-2 * 180 = 900 I can see a 138, 100 and 165 so if we subtract 138+100+165 from 900, we're left with only 497 so we could say that the remaining angles sum up to 497

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the angle sum of your polygon is \[Angle..Sum = 180 \times (n -2)\] where n is the number of sides...in your question its 7 when you get the angle sum let it equal the sum of all the angles collect like terms and then solve for x
