Kevin and Conner tracked their exercise last week. Kevin ran 4 times around the school track, 11 times around his neighborhood, and 5 miles on the treadmill. Conner ran 20 times around the school track and 6 miles on the treadmill. Write and simplify an expression for the total combined distance that Kevin and Conner ran. Show your work. Use t for the distance in miles around their school track and n for the distance in miles around Kevin’s neighborhood.

kevin: 4 times around school track 11 time around neighborhood 5 miles on treadmill conner: 20 times around school track 6 miles on treadmill t = miles around track n = miles around neighborhood (4t + 11n + 5) kevin's miles (20t + 6) conner's miles add them together to get the total distance: 24t + 11n + 11 = total miles
