During July in Jacksonville, Florida, it is not uncommon to have afternoon thunderstorms. On average, 8.4 days have afternoon thunderstorms. What is the probability that a randomly selected day in July will not have a thunderstorm? Round to two decimal places, if necessary. I divided on this one 8.4/31 ...thought the answer was 0.27. How would I need to set up this problem to come up with the correct answer.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

\[P(without\ thunderstorm)=1-\frac{8.4}{31}=you\ can\ calculate\]
