so we'd like to know which antenna will pick up channel 17 VHF frequency, and channel 38 UHF frequency

so in order to know which channel will cover that distance up to those 2 channel stations locations, we'd have to know how far they really are

since antenna reception is linear, meaning a straight line, so you just need to know how far in a STRAIGHT LINE are both channel stations

which is really a pythagorean theorem matter
