I am in need of some help. how do i factor (x^2)+16?

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

It cannot be factored.

Thank you.

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

Sure. Had it been x^2 - 16 it could be factored as a difference of squares, but you can't factor a sum of squares.
