OpenStudy (anonymous):

A sister chromatid is composed of how many strands of DNA?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Are there choices? Sister chromatids are connected by a centromere, so I would say 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no their aren't choices

OpenStudy (abb0t):

The reason I think it is two is because they are two chromosomes connected, and each chromosome is a singly tightly coiled strand of DNA. So, since there are two chromosomes in a sister, I guess, \(2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one chromosome is composed of one DNA molecule and after there are two DNA molecules. This is because DNA replication increases the amount of DNA and does not increase the number of chromosomes.
