how to do c in this prob? just need a quick answer
i can find it with the calc but i need to know the math way haha if anyone can give me some pointers. i've done so many of these, my mind is about to explode<<
we dont give you "quick ansur" we help you to find it. \( \Huge \bf {QUICK~~ANSUR}\)
lol go for it. i'm sorry i came off like that, i mean u can explain it without having to go through every step because I understand the topic very well, I'm in AP Calc BC. And btw i have the answer but that's not going to help me, i want to know how to solve it. I'm not sure if i'm supposed to use the derivative or not can u help me "find it?"
there is a derivitive test and a second derivitive test for these.
look up the second derivitive test
oh ok so just use that? i know how to do it i just wasn't 100% positive i use the 2nd deriv test
If you not 100% sure plot it :)
haha ok thanks for the quick answer. It's all i needed(:
basically these from the above link --- 1 Finding Absolute Extrema of f(x) on [a,b]. 2 Verify that the function is continuous on the interval [a,b]. Find all critical points of f(x) that are in the interval [a,b]. This makes sense if you think about it. Since we are only interested in what the function is doing in this interval we don’t care about critical points that fall outside the interval. 3 Evaluate the function at the critical points found in step 1 and the end points. 4 Identify the absolute extrema.
yea i know all that thank you for the help! greatly appreciated :)
You just dbl checking then :) cool.
