as it's not centered at one of the points but instead at the origin, so i think that as the scale factor is greater than 1, it's increasing the size of the line segment, so use the equation (x, y) => (kx, ky) so the point A: (1,4) becomes => (3*1 , 3*4) = (3, 12) = A' (the new A point)
