Writing 48 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would like some direction in how to best utilize your website for my purposes. My job description now includes mostly writing. Writing has been my avocation for years, but I've never had formal training. I would like to intentionally pursue a resource that will develop my writing skills. I was directed to your site by my supervisor. What would you suggest for me?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Write things, have people hear read and review them. Also, there are lots of sites out there on writing. A quick search got me this: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2009/06/28/50-free-resources-that-will-improve-your-writing-skills/ But what happens when you read something on one of those sites and have a question or need an explanation? What if you find conflicting information and want a second opinion as to which is right? Well, then OpenStudy becomes a good place to ask!
