Two magnetic dipoles are placed in a magnetic field B. |dw:1377541325345:dw| Since they are in different positions, they certainly have different potentials. And since we are dealing with purely magnetic dipoles(ferromagnetic material's and magnets), its a conservative force here. The work done on both of them are different based on the potentials of each object.
