using this link can i find the answer http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=y%3Dx^2-3 : The graph of this quadratic function is a parabola. What is the equation of the axis of symmetry? y=x^2-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The axis of symmetry is the vertical line that passes through the vertex. Do you know how to find the vertex?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i am askin in that link will it show the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i get the anwser

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could ask for the vertex. The x-coordinate of the vertex is the equation of the axis of symmetry: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=vertex+of+x%5E2-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u get there

@SithsAndGiggles

Like I said in my first comment, the vertex's x-coordinate gives you the equation of the axis of symmetry. So just type in "vertex of so-and-so" and look at the minimum/maximum value Wolfram gives you.

so the answer would be
