-2A+10=-12 -10 -10 -2A=-22 A=11

also you should try and lead them to the question. not just give them the answer and the steps...

you have to subtract -10 to both sides so that you can get -2A by itself... so -10+(-12)=-22 then write it as -2A=-22, divide -2 to both sides to get A by itself. A=11 because -22/-2 = 11
