What is the question?

OpenStudy (dape):

Are n whole numbers or real numbers? Are you supposed to solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n is variable book provided, sorry for confusion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im unsure how to factor the cubic

OpenStudy (dape):

I would start by guessing solutions, when there is nothing in front of the highest x-term rational solutions must be whole numbers that are factors to the constant term. So in your case find all the factors of 12 and try them out and see if they work.

OpenStudy (dape):

It is pretty easy to see once you start putting in values.

okay I think I get it, thanks for your help
