Help! PLEASE! MEDALS WILL BE AWARDED!! How do you distinguish: a. An element from a compound. b. An element from a mixture. c. A true solution from a heterogeneous mixture.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

an element is only one type of element.. a compound is more than one type of element a mixture doesn't need to be chemically bonded like a compound in a solution the components are uniform throughout, in a heterogenous mixture the components are in "patches" ( not mixed evenly)

thank you!! :D
