Babylon fell due to the people raising the tower of babel to reach the sky and be as high as god and god destroyed because he took negatively against it and that was the end of babel and Babylon

Sorry the above is from Genesis, the Book of Daniel speaks of how King Nebuchadnezzar was weighed in the balance and found wanting. It eventually speaks of it's downfall by being possibly conquered by the Greeks, Alexander the Great
