Use the Intermediate Value Theorem to determine whether the polynomial function has a zero in the given interval. f(x) = 8x4 + 2x3+ 4x - 9; [-2, -1]

plug in \(-2\) i.e. evaluate \(f(-2)\) then evalutate \(f(-1)\) one will be positive, one will be negative since \(f\) is continuous, if it is positive somewhere and negative somewhere then it must be zero in between
