PLEASE HELP!!!! I WILL GIVE YOU A MEDAL IF U CAN ANSWER CORRECTLY!! where were the colonists at when they had to start taxing?
What do you mean by "where were the colonists"? As in where were they located, or where were they economically?
Is there any way you could elaborate the question more? I'm not sure if it's talking about British taxation, or taxing themselves. and on what goods?
1)why was taxing and taxation such a problem for the colonist? 2)what did they fear would happen if they are taxed?
The colonists were unhappy with British taxation because they had no representation in parliament. They had no way to stand up or oppose these taxes that had been forced upon them. Eventually, this led to America gaining independence from British rule. They feared that if they obliged to paying such taxes, parliament would only impose more upon them. I hope this helped.
Added to the first part of my answer, them having no say in parliament imposed taxes was called "taxation without representation".
