How do you solve the equation: log(10) - log(2)? I need a step by step refresher please.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Do you know your log properties? Such as \[\log_{10} 5+\log_{10} 2=\log_{10} (5*2)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, right. I remember that now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And that works with subraction too right?

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

When you subtract you're doing division

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it is log(10/2) right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the answer is log(5)!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (luigi0210):
