Can someone help me, what is the product of a number and four is at most -10?

OpenStudy (debbieg):

You are looking for an algebraic expression, I'm assuming? what's an expression for "the product of a number and 4"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a product is the result of multiplying

OpenStudy (debbieg):

And if something is "at most" some number, than it could be less than that number, or equal to that number, but it cannot be more than that number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry, I forgot to add that I'm just suppose to write an inequality

OpenStudy (debbieg):

Yes, that's what we figured. :) Just read what's above, does it make sense?

OpenStudy (debbieg):

"the product of a number and four" ---> write an expression using a variable, pick whatever one you like, for "a number" "is at most" ---> This tells you what the inequality sign should look like (both its direction, and whether it is strict or weak) " -10" ---> this goes on the other side of the inequality.

OpenStudy (debbieg):

I should say: "the product of a number and four" ---> write an expression using a variable, pick whatever one you like, for "a number" and take a product of it with 4
