Which of the following is a possible set of quantum numbers for an electron n, l, m subscript l, m subscript ? (1, 0, 0, +1) (2, 2, 1, +one over two ) (4, -3, 0, -one over two ) (3, 2, 1, -one over two )

OpenStudy (preetha):

jo, the first one has spin of +1, which is not possible. Spin can only be +or minus half. Then the second one has n = l, which is not possible . The values of l have to be n-1. The third one has -l, which is not possible. so the only one possible is the last one.
