Simplify √288 / √8?

OpenStudy (psymon):

A good way to start is to know this: \[\frac{ \sqrt{288} }{ \sqrt{8} }=\sqrt{\frac{ 288 }{ 8 }} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So taking it back a step I could divide 288 by 8 right? Getting 36 and find out the square root of that right?

OpenStudy (psymon):

Yep, absolutely: \[\frac{ \sqrt{288} }{ \sqrt{8} }=\sqrt{\frac{ 288 }{ 8 }}=\sqrt{36} \]

Awesomesauce. Haha. Thanks @Psymon :3
