how to graph? Y=-5X

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

It would look something like this |dw:1377660607062:dw|.

ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well how did u found that out?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

when x = 0, y = 0 since y = -5x y = -5*0 ... plug in x = 0 y = 0

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

therefore, one point on this line is (0,0)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

when x = 1, y = -5 because y = -5x y = -5*1 .... replace x with 1 y = -5 so we know that (1,-5) is also on the line
