Sexual reproduction in flowering plants centres around the flower. You must know that Androecium is the male gamete of a flower which consists of anther and filament, where anther contains the pollen grains.Gynoecium is the female part of the flower which consists of stigma, style and ovary(ovary contains ovules). By the process of pollination ,the pollen grains from anther(male part) falls into gynoecium(female part) stigma and passing through style it reaches ovary, where the fusion takes place between pollen grains n ovules ... After fusion there is formation of fertilized egg called zygote. Zygote which later forms as a flower. The sepals, petals and stamens wither. The ovule as a whole develops into seed while the ovary develops into fruit.when the seeds get matured, they come out from fruit and form seedlings in suitable conditions.. This is how, reproduction takes place in flowering plants!
