Find the minimum value for a+b if..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[a^b=(1+2)(1+2^2)(1+2^4)(1+2^8)(1+2^(16))+1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By the way it's 2^16 to clarify

OpenStudy (phi):

let me know what you get!

OpenStudy (blockcolder):

I was able to simplify \(a^b\) as \(4^{16}\) and in general, I was able to prove by induction that \[(1+2)(1+2^2)\cdots(1+2^{2^{n}})+1=4^{2^{n}}\] but I'm not able to proceed.
