can someone help me?

OpenStudy (oaktree):

With what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Make a two-column proof showing statements and reasons to prove that triangle PRQ is similar to triangle PQS.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@OakTree do you know?

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Working. Give me a moment - I did geometry two years ago, so I'm a bit rusty. And @DUDE..IM..A..DUCK I just reported you for abuse of the forums. Please stop.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@OakTree okay thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

btw i cant use symbols i have to write out the words

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Oh - duh! Sorry. That was stupid of me. It's a proof by AA-similarity. Since both of the two angles have a thirty degree angle marked, and both of them have angle P, we know that they're similar. Ask away if you have any further questions about this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh? i still don't understand? i have to write a two column proof

OpenStudy (oaktree):

You know that the two 30 degree angles are congruent, so that's one angle. Angle P is congruent to angle P by the reflexive property, so that makes two angles. By angle-angle similarity, the two are similar.

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Makes sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do i just write that?

OpenStudy (oaktree):

In a two column proof format, of course. But basically it should go like this:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow thank you i thought it was going to be something way more difficult.

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Oh, okay. So you should be fine then. Glad I could help!

OpenStudy (oaktree):

And just for the record, I find it humorous that all traces of Mr. Duck have disappeared. I can't even begin to imagine why that would be! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i see him on another post though? maybe he created another one

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Don't worry - I just checked. He's been on OpenStudy for fourteen days - I sincerely doubt that he's a friend of the moderators. He'll be taken care of.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i knew he was lying lol

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Thanks for the medal and the fan. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me with another?

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Sure.
