Matt uses a compass and straightedge to construct parallel lines. Annie uses a drawing program to construct parallel lines. In your own words, describe how Matt’s construction steps will be different from Annie’s construction steps.

@OffnenStudieren can you help please!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The drawing program automatically make them parallel, but Matt must draw circles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to make parrallel lines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no but can you help me explain the difference between annie's and matt's contrusction steps?

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

both will follow the same basic steps the one done on a computer is going to be more accurate and done without any mistakes the one done on paper may have a mistake since it's prone to human error

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the computer drawing will also be done faster and more efficiently (and offer more interactivity) compared to the pencil and paper version

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 also if u were to contruct it with the compass what steps would be differently

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

check out the link OffnenStudieren posted

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

that link shows you step by step how to construct a parallel line

@jim_thompson5910 @OffnenStudieren thanks guys, really helped :)
